Most readers of the Illinois Review vote pro-life. It has been frustrating to think we did not have a candidate running for governor that was pro-life and our only option has been to just not vote for that office.
It is important that a pro-life candidate be well informed on many other issues. We have been given a second chance. Randall Stufflebeam from Belleville, IL will be running on the Constitutional Party ticket. Before you say, "he'll never win," take a look at this guy. I have spoken with him twice and find him to be the most informed candidate I have had the privilege of meeting.
He is an ex-Marine and he has the ability to clean this state up and we all know it is in a desperate condition. He is getting attention from both the Republicans and the Democrats as both parties are sick of the mess.
Dennis Cauchon, wrote in USA TODAY about Illinois and Gov. Rod Blagjevich's plan to use lottery money to start universal preschool, build schools and buy an annuity that replaces lottery profits for 16 years.
It is this type of fiscal irresponsibility that has brought concerned citizens on both sides to want a leader who does not owe favors to half the state.
Go to www.runrandyrun.com and help Randall Stufflebeam by printing out and circulating a petition for him. Let's give him a chance - the alternative is pretty dim. Do it ASAP as time is short.
