Last week's Illinois Review poll indicated that 51% of those participating believe that Judy Baar-Topinka becoming the next governor is more likely than Peraica becoming the next Cook County Board president, the GOP gaining back either the House or the Senate majority. While 14.5% of those polled believe that Peraica could beat Todd Stroger on November 7, over 24% have little hope that any major GOP state race candidate will win.
