A young African-American just sent me the link to this TV infomercial about how black children perceive others and themselves, based on the color of skin.
I'll admit it's fascinating and troubling. The comment attached was, "This will bring tears to your eyes," then he proceeded to blast the Irish and Polish for the pride they demonstrate and questioned why similar cultural pride is wrong for blacks.
My response to the young friend was, "I understand cultural pride. I don't understand cultural superiority."
