Associated Press is reporting that consistently third-place Democratic prez candidate John Edwards will announce today he's dropping from the 2008 bid. That leaves U.S. Senator Hillary Clinton and U.S. Senator Barack Obama, who are in dead heat in national polls.
Former NYC Mayor Rudy Giuliani is also expected to drop from the GOP race today after a disappointing loss in Florida. He's expected to endorse fellow GOP candidate U.S. Senator John McCain today.
The remaining GOP candidates -- McCain, Romney, Huckabee and Paul presumably -- will debate tonight at the Ronald Reagan Library in Simi Valley, CA, the last major GOP debate before next week's 23-state primary.
