Besides pulling out of a scheduled speech in Tampa Tuesday, Barack Obama's controversial pastor Rev. Jeremiah Wright has canceled weekend speaking engagements in Fort Worth and North Texas, citing security reasons . . .
Cosby told the Chronicle that Wright cited three reasons for canceling: "the safety of the institution to which he has been invited; the safety of his family, which has been placed in harm's way; and for his own safety."
Are they suggesting lives have been threatened, or is the real concern now about the security of his most famous parishioner's political future?
Wright also canceled his appearance Tuesday in Florida at a Tampa-area church. The hosting church said it asked Wright to cancel his scheduled three-day appearance because of security questions.

UPDATE 1: A Bloomberg piece this morning here says Trinity members have been instructed not to talk to reporters, the library no longer sells DVDs of Wright's sermons and other "certain things" are not sold to people who aren't church members. The new pastor, Rev. Otis Moss III, shut down the Sunday night service's live feed for fifteen minutes for "church family" discussion.
UPDATE 2: The website has been revamped since March, and the church's Black Value System is more difficult to find.
UPDATE 3: Now we know what the real threat is. . . someone found in Wright's church magazine some nasty digs at Italians HERE. You don't poke at Italians and not expect a strong response.
Oh, is that another stereotype?
