Our passion continues to be to keep Illinois the nation's most pro-home schooling state. Since 1985, when our family first began to home school, we've known that the work of home schooling was a big one -- to teach our children first and then to do all we humanly could to keep Illinois' political climate conducive to home schooling for future generations.
That's what has brought us to you all now . . .
Illinois home schoolers will have the opportunity to help four outstanding pro-homeschooling candidates win in the Illinois House in 2008. These four are spread throughout the state, and we're very excited that they are committed as state lawmakers to protecting home schooling.
These four candidates have asked us to find potential home school network coordinators in their districts. We've told them we'll take on the challenge and assist in matching these candidates with the active home schooling network in their district.
Since we stepped away from serving Illinois home schoolers at the statewide level in 1999, we've lost touch with the current network. However, we know it still exists and that it's alive and well. We just need help in finding home schooling families who might want to help pro-home schooling candidates.
If you could help us get the word out about this opportunity, we'd be very grateful and most importantly it will make a difference in November 2008. Have anyone interested contact us at featon@illinoisreview.com.
We hope you'll find this worthy of passing on to those in your network, as well.
