UPDATE: Illinois Review has been asked to join Mr. Zorn on Chicago Tonight to discuss this issue at 7:00 PM on Chicago's WTTW Channel 11. We'll be mentioning the great ideas we've gotten from our IR readers . . . keep it up!
This morning, Eric Zorn calls on Lisa Madigan to announce her 2010 bid for governor, as incumbent Governor Rod Blagojevich -- with the nation's lowest poll readings -- has already begun fundraising. Zorn mentions several other Dems who may be interested.
That got us to thinking about who could be in the GOP race? In 2006, we had several vying for the spot, only to be won by then-State Treasurer Judy Baar-Topinka. One of those in the race was State Senator Bill Brady of Bloomington. He's been fairly vocal about his intentions to run in 2010. We've also heard Andy McKenna may be interested.
Who have you heard is considering a Republican bid for that spot in 2010?
