Professor Todd Henderson - Returning roundtable participants Professor Henderson is Assistant Professor of Law at the University of Chicago. His research interests include corporations, securities regulation, bankruptcy, law and economics, and intellectual property. Following law school, Todd served as clerk to the Hon. Dennis Jacobs of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. He then practiced appellate litigation at Kirkland & Ellis in Washington, D.C., and was an engagement manager at McKinsey & Company in Boston.
Gus Makris - Gus is a tax lawyer with Sidley Austin in Chicago. His practice focuses on advising clients on the tax aspects of mergers and acquisitions and other transactions. Prior to joining Sidley Austin, he was a tax lawyer with Cravath, Swaine & Moore in New York. Gus earned his B.A. in economics and philosophy from the University of Michigan and his J.D. from the University of Chicago Law School.
Phil Wilhelm - Phil is an Associate Director at UBS O'Connor Securities, where he is responsible for a portfolio of Real Estate investments. Prior to OConnor, Phil was a portfolio manager at Stark Investments. Phil is a graduate of Duke University and Kellogg Business School and is a member of National Association of Real Estate Investment Trusts (NAREIT).
Alex Makris - Alex received his B.S.E. in Computer Engineering from the University of Michigan in 2001 and his MBA with high distinction from the University of Michigan in 2008. From 2001 until 2007, Alex developed powertrain controls testing systems for General Motors. While there, Alex was awarded GM's top technical honor, the Boss Kettering Award. In 2007, Alex founded a "Students for Ron Paul" chapter at the University of Michigan. He recruited 200 members and coordinated a 2,500 person political rally on campus. Alex is currently a senior associate at PricewaterhouseCoopers where he builds financial valuation models for clients.
