from Ryan for Governor campaign
After spending a week downstate Illinois ducking all three Chicago debates and all questions about his ethical conduct as party chairman, Andy McKenna has resurfaced.
We urge the Illinois media to confront him with these questions:
—You may be the only candidate in Illinois history who has been found to have violated your last employer’s (Illinois State Party) Code of Conduct and never once answered a question about it, except to say, “the matter is closed.” Will you come clean with Illinois voters before Tuesday?
—Will you release the full 93-page report investigating your conduct as chairman related to your unethical use of party poll to further your personal political interests? If not, why not? I thought you stood for transparency.
—Will you address the fact that highly placed sources have told us that you declined to answer ANY questions posed to you by the ethics panel that produced the 93-page report?
—Will you address the allegation made by one of the most respected county prosecutors in America, Joe Birkett, a two-time statewide nominee of the Republican Party, that you “flat-out lied” to him when he face-to-face asked you whether his name was included in the above referenced poll? That face to face meeting took place June 16, 2009, at your family’s paper business.
Here is Andy McKenna’s public schedule, according to an email from his campaign:
