The earthquake in the Teachers Unions in Rhode Island last week could cause after shocks for the Democratic Party all over the country. Southern Illinoisans often say even a broken clock is right twice a day. It was a bit of a shock when former Chicago Public School CEO and current Obama Education Secretary Arne Duncan actually said he supported the decision of Central Falls High School to fire all 74 teachers and the principal for incompetence and dereliction of duty when they would not agree to extend the school day by just 25 minutes to help struggling students.
