A new CNN/Time Magazine poll released Wednesday that includes Independent candidate Scott Lee Cohen puts Republican Bill Brady just two points ahead of Governor Pat Quinn, with Cohen in double digits.
Brady came in at 40, Quinn at 38 and Cohen at 14 with Green Party's Rich Whitney at 4. Cohen won the Democratic primary for Lieutenant Governor and shortly thereafter Cohen was pressured by Democratic hierarchy to step down. Quinn then picked downstate Sheila Simon to be his ticket mate.
Last week's polling did not include Cohen, and put Brady 14 points ahead of Quinn.
Your thoughts ... why would Cohen take votes away from Brady and not Quinn? Could Cohen cost Brady the election? Is it that Cohen supporters are so angry at Quinn they wouldn't vote for him no matter who was on the ballot? What's your prediction for this race?
