The Tribune's endorsements are breath-taking this time around. Makes you wonder if they've heard the Tea Party frustrated voices coming from the rallies below the Tribune Towers over the past year? While the first half of their endorsements today went to Republicans, so did the second half of the Trib's State Senate favors -- actually Republican candidates were picked in 7 out of 8 races.
The Tribune endorses Republican challengers "One Mom" Cedra Crenshaw, 24 year old businessman Adam Baumgartner and Downstate builder Sam McCann over each of their Democratic opponents.
They also chose Republican conservative incumbents State Senators Dave Syverson, Kyle McCarter, Dave Luechtefeld and Dale Righter. Only one Democrat was picked -- Michael Frerichs of Champaign.
