Black conservatives from all over America are on the November 2nd ballot, and Freedom's Journal Magazine's Eric Wallace gives a history and an overview of the exploding black conservative movement that stands on the crucial "LIFT" principles, first proposed by the United Republican Fund executive director (and IR publisher) Dennis G. LaComb. Wallace writes:
This election cycle a new crop of Black Republicans has arisen. History is about to repeat itself. Not since the late 19th century has there been the prospect that more than two black Republicans could serve in the US Congress. Of the fourteen running at least half of them are considered competitive. Many, such as Ryan Frazier (CO), Charles Lollar (MD) and Stephen Broden (TX) who are in historically Democratic districts are finding a new receptiveness to their message. Most if not all of the candidates are social, as well as, fiscal conservatives who have joined in the revolt against big government and reckless spending. Again, many if not all, have participated in Tea party rallies, such as Isaac Hayes (IL), Star Parker (CA), Tim Scott (SC) and Allen West (FL).
These Black Republican candidates who stand for freedom subscribe to a set of principles similar to what we call the LIFT Principles[2], which stands for Limited government, Individual freedom and responsibility, Free enterprise and Traditional family values.
