If you wanted to set up a role model for high school kids showing an interest in going into politics, wouldn't the first person you'd think of be a convicted felon?
Indeed. Convicted felon and impeached Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich will be the keynote speaker this weekend at Junior State of America's Midwest Conference in Oak Brook. He'll answer questions and compete in a game of Jeopardy! with high school students as a fundraiser for the Japanese Tsunami Relief Project.
The mission of the Junior State of America and the Junior Statesmen Foundation (JSA) is to strengthen American democracy by educating and preparing high school students for life-long involvement and responsible leadership in a democratic society.
