WASHINGTON DC -The White House notified ABC News Jake Tapper today that the President opposes the ban on sex selection abortions that will be heard before the US House Thursday.
Just days after LifeAction's expose on an Austin Texas Planned Parenthood clinic that counseled a young woman how to abort her baby if it was a girl, the President's deputy press secretary Jamie Smith issued this statement:
“The Administration opposes gender discrimination in all forms, but the end result of this legislation would be to subject doctors to criminal prosecution if they fail to determine the motivations behind a very personal and private decision. The government should not intrude in medical decisions or private family matters in this way.”
