The bizarre disconnect between Barack Obama and world events, as evidenced by his avoidance of any substantive meetings while in New York on Monday did not escape anyone's attention, even that of his Lame Stream Media suckup stenographers. On his "Daily Rundown" show Monday morning, F. Chuck Todd said that the Obama campaign is hoping that the One can slip into New York, make a couple of speeches at the U.N. and the Clinton Global Initiative, hang out with the hags at "The View," and get out "without making any news," as in avoid sticking his foot in his mouth.
Wednesday, on his show, F. Chuck Todd questioned Obama campaign mouthpiece/national embarrassment Stephanie Cutter about her guy's face time phobia, even comparing it unfavorably with George W. Bush. From Mediate:
Host Chuck Todd then noted, as he’s done before, that there is quite a contrast between President Obama’s schedule now and President George W. Bush‘s from this time from years ago. Bush, he said, had met with a “slew” of foreign leaders, whereas Obama hasn’t met with any. One adviser, he shared, even said that if the President meets with one world leader, he’ll have to meet with ten others. “That’s the job sometimes,” Todd pointed out. “This doesn’t seem like a very defensible position.”
ABC's Jake Tapper was also flummoxed by Obama's holding himself apart from the rest of the world.
The Liberal Death Star may have provided some insight, and inadvertently exposed another area in which the One is not doing his job. That fact shouldn't come as a surprise. He got elected to the U.S. Senate, and then spent most of his time running for president while collecting his Senate salary. Now he's playing dress up as "president," and neglecting an essential aspect of the job of President of the United States.
From the New York Times:
The tensions between Mr. Obama and the Gulf states, both American and Arab diplomats say, derive from an Obama character trait: he has not built many personal relationships with foreign leaders. “He’s not good with personal relationships; that’s not what interests him,” (emphasis mine) said one United States diplomat. “But in the Middle East, those relationships are essential. The lack of them deprives D.C. of the ability to influence leadership decisions.”…
Arab officials echo that sentiment, describing Mr. Obama as a cool, cerebral man who discounts the importance of personal chemistry in politics. “You can’t fix these problems by remote control,” (emphasis mine) said one Arab diplomat with long experience in Washington. “He doesn’t have friends who are world leaders. He doesn’t believe in patting anybody on the back, nicknames.
What?!! Mr. Warmth is "not good with personal relationships?" How can this be?
It's obvious to me that the reason Barack Obama avoids meetings with world leaders is that he realizes that he's the least qualified person in nearly any room he occupies, and he's terrified of being exposed as inadequate. We realize that that ship has sailed, and that his severe limitations should be obvious to even a casual observer, but Barry spends most of his time with sycophants. In his comfortable bubble, he knows that his "secret" is safe. He is terrified of venturing outside it.
Critics of affirmative-action have often noted that excusing people from having to meet high standards is not a kindness. The alleged "beneficiaries" know they've been given preferential treatment, and that fact will always make them wonder if they could have made the grade without it. In Obama's case, the answer is an obvious "no." I don't think anyone should be surprised that, as one of these "lucky" affirmative action assisted people, he may have a bit of an inferiority complex.
So, let me break it down for you, Jake and F. Chuck. Barack Obama is an unqualified empty suit, and for all his obvious narcissism, at some level he realizes it. It's one thing to dazzle vacuous celebrities like Jay-Z and Beyoncè, bleach-blonde blowup doll Elisabeth Hasselbeck or room-temperature IQ loudmouth Joy Behar with your alleged brilliance. It's another to enter an arena with serious people and try to go toe to toe with them. Barack Hussein Obama is not a serious person, and he knows it.
