According to Public Policy Polling Gov. Pat Quinn is
an underdog in hypothetical match-ups against potential Republican
challengers in 2014. Moreover, his approval rating is terrible: 25
percent of voters approve of Quinn's job performance, while 64
disapprove. He doesn't even have a positive approval rating among
Democratic voters (40/43).
In fact, potential Democratic primary challenger Lisa Madigan, the state's attorney general, has a 48 percent favorable rating among voters and fared better than Quinn in prospective match-ups. In the Public Policy Polling results, Madigan garnered more support against two candidates who outperformed Quinn.
"Lisa Madigan is the big X factor in this race," said Dean Debnam, president of Public Policy Polling. "If she decides to run she'll be a big favorite, but otherwise Republicans should have a decent chance in this contest." ...More HERE
