WHEATON - Wheaton Police are doubling up on security in State Rep Jeanne Ives (R-Wheaton) neighborhood this week after a caller left a threatening voice mail last Friday over the same sex marriage controversy in Springfield.
"Your Tea Party brethren Sarah Palin put up a map that included the names, locations and faces of Democratic candidates and put them in the cross hairs of a gun," a caller says on the voice mail.
Wheaton Police charged 49 year old Chicago man Stephen Bona, for suggesting that "perhaps we should do the same for you. We know where you live."

Ives has been criticized by gay rights activists for comments she made on a Catholic radio show against same sex marriage. Ives said that she's received numerous emails, phone calls and Facebook comments that disagreed with her position, but they died down after a few days.
