As the state's economy continues to slip, and state lawmakers sue for their paychecks, about 400 Illinois workers received notice this month that they could be laid off in the coming weeks, according to filings with the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity.
Companies being forced to layoff workes include Lake Forest-based Grainger Inc., Robert Bosch Tool Corp., Citibank in Danville, Charitable Resource Foundation, KubeTech Custom Molding, Olin Corp., Ball Metal Beverage Packaging, Allstate, Caterpillar, and Pershing.
