AURORA - 8th CD Republican candidate Manju Goel and an independent expenditures group filled reporters' inboxes Friday with several press releases and a link to the campaign's latest web video (below), which appears to have been filmed on federal property - an FEC no-no.
One of the campaign's press releases (HERE) called on her opponent Larry Kaifesh to stop avoiding debates. The Goel campaign wrote to Illinois Review: "Mr. Kaifesh is comfortable with challenging Joe Walsh to a street brawl, but appears to be not responsive to Manju's debate invitation."
Kaifesh spokesman Steve Rossi told IR: "We've been asking her for a debate for six weeks. We received their debate invitation Thursday (HERE), and that night they were sending out press releases that we had refused to respond."
WEBSITE WARS
The Kaifesh campaign responded to the launch of a mirror website put up by Indian Americans for Freedom (IAFF), a SuperPAC that is supporting Goel.

In a letter (HERE) from attorney John Fogarty, the Kaifesh campaign threatened legal action against the IAFF for false statements, deceptive practices, and copyright infringement.
The website remains up.
Interestingly Goel's campaign website also sports a red oval that links to a website "WhereisLarryWhoisLarry.com", wich is also sponsored by the IAFF SuperPAC.
