Shia Kapos at Crain's is reporting that President Obama has recruited three Chicago entrepreneurs for his Council on Financial Capability for Young Americans. They include:
John Rogers, Jr., CEO of Chicago-based Ariel Investments who is a longtime Obama friend and financial supporter. He previously chaired the president's Advisory Council on Financial Capability from 2010 to 2013, and served as a co-chair for the Obama-Biden Presidential Inaugural Committee in 2009.
Ted Gonder, CEO of Moneythink, a Chicago nonprofit that teaches teen financial literacy. He's also founder of the University of Chicago's Entrepreneurship Society and Project Cooldown, a nonprofit that created climate-change awareness programs at California high schools.
Ted Beck, president and CEO of Chicago-based Driehaus Capital Management's endowment for financial education.
