CHICAGO - Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel said "no thanks" when the Republican National Committee (RNC) asked Chicago to bid on hosting its 2016 National Convention (HERE).
However, the Mayor's response to the same request from the Democratic National Committee's (DNC) is a bit more welcoming.
When asked about the DNC's request, Emanuel's spokeswoman Sarah Hamilton told Greg Hinz, "We will evaluate the opportunity this could provide and proceed accordingly."
As Hinz notes, Emanuel isn't one to shy away from the big stage. And while it isn't a "done deal", this story is one to watch.
