CHICAGO - Illinois Gov. Pat Quinn signed the anti-bullying law requiring all public schools to create and implement anti-bullying policies.
Each school's policies must detail a subjective definition of "bullying," as well as procedures for reporting "bullying" and parental notification when a student's action is deemed as "bullying" by those individuals empowered to enforce the policies. The policies should also include the investigation of reports of "bullying" and actions that may be taken to address it. State education officials will monitor to make sure schools implement the policies.
