ROSEMONT, IL (INN Radio) - A country star got around one-million dollars in incentives from a Chicago suburb to open his comeback tour in Rosemont. The Associated Press reports released documents show the Rosemont-owned Allstate Arena also gave Garth Brooks a reduced rate to rent the arena for his eleven shows in September. After having refused media requests for the documents the Illinois Attorney General’s office said Rosemont was violating open-records laws. That ruling led Rosemont to release the documents Monday. The suburb tells the AP they made more than two-million dollars from the nearly two-week run of shows.
