WASHINGTON DC - Congressman Aaron Schock (R-IL) made his last floor speech Thursday afternoon. He resigned last week effective March 31, 2015, after questions were raised by the media about his spending of taxpayer dollars and campaign donations.
"I leave here with sadness and humility," Schock said. "For those whom I've let down, I will work tirelessly to make it up to you. I know that God has a plan for my life. The good book says tells us that 'before I formed you in the womb, I knew you.''"
Schock faces Department of Justice and FBI investigations.
