By Mark Weyermuller -
Jill Dolan is just a mom, wife, business owner and a taxpayer. This might make her one of the most qualified candidates in the race for school board next week in District 207.
The district consists of Maine East High School, which serves parts of Des Plaines, Park Ridge and portions of Glenview, Morton Grove and Niles.
There six candidates running for three school board positions including three incumbents. The ballot says vote for three of the six. I am asking people to bullet vote for Jill Dolan only, therefore casting only one vote to improve her chances, leaving the other two spots blank.
This is grassroots politics getting hard-working conservatives on local boards and commissions. I applaud Jill Dolan for stepping forward to this challenge.
Jill wants to focus on conservative budgetary decisions along with publishing itemized expenditures. She will demand transparency from the board and the administration. Dolan will strive to improve education without raising taxes. She said, "We must give the power back to the parents, teachers, and the taxpayers."
Full disclosure. Jill Dolan is a friend of mine and a great person. If you are in District 207, please vote for her next Tuesday, April 7, 2015, and tell your friends.
