DuPAGE COUNTY - As the early voting window for the April 7th municipal elections begins to close, one active Democrat candidate for the College of DuPage trustee board hit phone lines, trashing the Clean Slate. Listen:
"Vote in Dan Bailey College of DuPage trustee. Vote out the Tea Party backed Clean Slate. I'll be a common sense watchdog for transparency and taxpayers. Early voting ends April 4th. Election day is April 7. Paid for by Citizens for Dan Bailey."
As Illinois Review contributor Chris Robling explained earlier this week, Dan Bailey is a Democrat that is partnering with former Republican state representative Sandy Pihos for the trustee board.
Robling explained that the Clean Slate candidates Bailey condemns - Deanne Mazzochi, Charles Bernstein, and Frank Napolitano - are all backed by Kathy Hamilton - the only board trustee that voted against COD President Robert Breuder's six figure pension deal. She hopes with the help of the Clean Slate to bring more transparency and accountability back to DuPage County taxpayers.
