ATLANTA - A new CNN poll places former Governor Jeb Bush and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton at the top of their respective parties' presidential picks for 2016.
CNN talked to 267 that describe themselves as Republicans and 168 that say they are Independents that lean Republican, for a total of 435 Republicans. Although Bush has yet to announce his candidacy, 17 percent picked him, 12 percent Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker and U.S. Senators Rand Paul and Marco Rubio (who both announced their candidacies) tied at 11 percent:
Democrats were more united in their support for one candidate: Hillary Clinton.
CNN spoke with 266 that describe themselves as Democrats and 192 that describe themselves as Independents that lean Democrat. Hillary Clinton was the overwhelming favorite to 69 percent, with Vice President Joe Biden coming in a distant second at 11 percent.
