TINLEY PARK - Presidential hopefuls Dr. Ben Carson and former Governor Mike Huckabee will be sharing their ideas in Illinois the last weekend in July in south suburban Tinley Park.
A group of conservatives led by Dr. Eric Wallace of Freedom’s Journal Institute will be hosting a day long conference at the end of July with a theme of “All Lives Matter,” a direct response to the “Black Lives Matter” movement.
"The theme is in defense of life, 'Why All Lives Matter,’” Wallace said this week. “Not only do black lives matter, all lives matter."
Wallace questions why more of those outraged about the loss of black lives to police violence, why aren’t they just as angered by the number of black babies that are aborted every year? Where’s the anger about black-on-black gang killings in Chicago neighborhoods and around other urban areas around the country? Why aren’t these same people marching in the streets, demanding good educations for their children?
“It’s ridiculous, some of these same people that are protesting these things are seeing the consequences of some of these people they’ve put into office time and time again,” Wallace said.
“Not only is life important, the quality of life is important. We care about all life. Conservative ideas and principles are the ones that promote a good quality of life,” he said.
It is those conservative ideas and principles that will be the main topics of discussion at the FJI 2015 RISE Initiative-In Defense of Life: Why all Lives Matter July 31, 2015, from 9:00 to 5:30 PM at the Tinley Park Convention Center.
