Speaking at an Urban Issues Presidential Series town hall on Chicago's southside Sunday, Republican Presidential candidate Dr. Ben Carson talked to about 200 Chicagoans about the importance of education and the need to get the economy growing to help inner city neighborhoods and the residents who live there.
Dr. Carson also said that parents can use the stories of great African-American inventors throughout history to inspire today's youth:
Carson is the second presidential candidate to attend Pastor Brooks forum, Sen. Rand Paul visited last month. Pastor Brooks has invited all Republican and Democrat presidential candidates to come to the south side to talk about urban issues and to talk to the people who live there.
