PALATINE - Cook County Board of Review Commissioner Dan Patlak will apparently once again face a primary challenge in 2016 from a south suburban Republican.
This time, Patlak's challenger won't be Alsip businessman Sean Morrison, who filled former Cook County Board Commissioner Liz Gorman's vacancy earlier this summer. This time Patlak will be challenged by a Republican from Morrison's Palos Township GOP organization - Sharon Branigan.
Branigan, who has been urging social conservative GOPers in the south suburbs to support her in the upcoming primary, will take her arguments against Patlak into his own backyard next Saturday, September 5th at the Palatine Township Republican Organization's monthly meeting.
Branigan is a Palos Township trustee, and challenged Democrat Congressman Dan Lipinski in 2014.
Besides hearing about what's going on in Springfield from Republican Senator Dan Duffy, Chairman Del Mar says "Trustee Branigan will share with us why she feels that she should replace Dan Patlak as a Commissioner at the Cook County Board of Review.”
The Palatine Township Republican Organization holds their monthly general meeting on the first Saturday of the month at 9:00 AM at the PTRO office at 765 N. Quentin Road in Palatine.
