Calling him the "Sheriff of Wall Street", the University of Chicago's left-leaning Institute of Politics welcomed former Governor of New York and former New York Attorney General Eliot Spitzer who opined on the state of regulation on Wall Street today.
Spitzer has had regulatory problems of his own. In 2008 The New York Times reported on his patronizing a high-priced prostitution service. According to published reports, investigators believe Spitzer paid up to $80,000 for prostitutes over a period of several years while he was Attorney General, and later as Governor.
