There are many public policy decisions that are difficult, decisions that require serious thought and perhaps consultation with advisors.

And then there are public policy decisions that are easy.

The crisis in Los Angeles in June 2025 is one of the easy ones.

Police are for local crimes – muggings and store robberies, bar fights and domestic incidents, speeding tickets and resisting arrest. The kinds of things that can be handled by a couple of policemen or a few police cars.

The National Guard is for big problems – demonstrations and riots, takeovers of public buildings or college campuses. The kinds of things that require lots of military-trained responders, domestic in nature but so big, they need serious numbers and serious firepower to put down the problem.

And then there’s the military. The United States Armed Forces – the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, and Coast Guard. They are specifically designed for international threats – for protecting our borders and defending our allies from violent enemies.

The military is not to be used against US citizens in normal domestic police matters; the military is under the ultimate command of the President of the United States, whose title is also Commander in Chief of these Armed Forces. They are essentially for foreign policy matters – battles against either foreign countries’ own military forces, or foreign insurgencies, foreign terrorists, and foreign invaders.

What do we face in our big cities – especially Los Angeles – right now?

Thousands of violent rioters, taking over government buildings, taking over federal highways and bridges, interfering with commerce, assaulting innocent citizens at random, attacking police vehicles, utility vehicles, and private vehicles as they go by, starting fires, destroying storefronts and strip malls.

And who are these violent rioters? Some US citizens, but many, or likely most, are foreigners, especially Mexicans waving huge Mexican flags as they riot, as they attack, as they destroy.

All this is occurring within miles of the coastline, and within 150 miles of the border with Mexico.

Another point to remember: many of our nation’s children, especially the ones in public schools in the southwest, are raised in an atmosphere of severe propaganda, having been taught that the southwest is actually Mexican land and the moral thing to do is to “return the land to Mexico.” Many of them start out the day already thinking of themselves as Mexican partisans in our midst, brainwashed to oppose the United States of America.

And one more, a real shocker: the new president of Mexico, the climate-hoaxing marxist and WEF plant Claudia Sheinbaum, has been calling for her shock troops in America – that is, the Mexican nationals, illegal aliens, and even Mexican-American US citizens who feel more allegiance to Mexico than to the United States – to rise up and join or lead demonstrations against US government policies.

So in several ways, these L.A. riots are anything but a matter for the local police. For the local police to say that they are overwhelmed and outclassed by these acts of war is nothing to be embarrassed about; a police force is simply not designed or equipped to do battle against a foreign power.

And if the federal government in the Biden-Harris years or the Obama-Biden years had done their job, these police wouldn’t have to face it at all; this problem was engineered by those two errant regimes.

President Trump was right to federalize the National Guard and to order in the U.S. Marines. In fact, it’s likely that the wisest move would be to send in many more such troops, and pulverize this incipient war with such an overwhelming show of force that these vermin won’t attempt it anywhere else.

The press and their puppets in state and local government – Or is it the other way around? It’s so hard to tell – are complaining that President Trump doesn’t have the authority to take these measures.

In point of fact, there is nothing clearer in the Constitution of the United States than the fact that the President is also simultaneously the Commander in Chief, and has not just the right but the obligation to respond immediately and decisively to any such foreign incursion on our homeland.

That these cartel-affiliated, Soros-funded, union-staffed alien forces are waving Mexican flags and attacking innocent Americans should be no surprise to anyone; it’s been in the DNA of such cretins for years.

But that the politicians and press of the unAmerican Left are so unhesitatingly siding with these terrorist mobs is a surprise, or at least would have been, just a few years ago.

The Left has moved further in the direction of lawlessness, violence, and societal destruction in the past few years than anyone would have predicted a generation ago.

They have shown their colors. It’s high time the United States military moves in, and gives the Left the very battlefield defeat they’re asking for.

President Trump appears to have arrived on the scene just in time.
