Former Cook County Commissioner Tony Peraica and Illinois State Senate Candidate Tom Mccullagh (R-49) will headline the 'March On Madigan' event, Saturday, August 1 at 10:00 a.m. at Illinois House Speaker Mike Madigan's office at 6500 S. Pulaski Road in Chicago. 'March On Madigan' organizer, 13th Ward Republican Committeeman and the literal "David" in this modern-day 'David vs. Goliath' political battle with the Chicago Machine will also be speaking in demand of Madigan's resignation.

"Mike Madigan is the head of a long-standing, on-going criminal enterprise that uses government to shake down individuals, businesses, and non-profits for his/their personal financial gain. He routinely shook down individuals to hire him for tax appeal work," Peraica stated in a recent press release, following the implication of Madigan's involvement in a 'jobs for friends' and 'cash for favorable legislation' collaboration with Commonwealth Edison, charged by the U.S. Attorney's office.

"Madigan, along with his minions and acolytes, uses Mafia-type tactics to enrich himself and people in his orbit, undermine opposing candidates, fix elections, and commit election fraud…..Mike Madigan is cancer on our state that must be excised now" Peraica emphasized.

Il-49 State Senate Candidate Tom Mccullagh will also be addressing the Saturday morning assembly.

"Years of mismanagement by current office holders have left the State pension fund severely under-funded and we are nearing a crisis point!…If we are to succeed as a State, people need to have faith that their retirement accounts and pensions will be safe from the sticky fingers of Illinois politicians," stated Mccullagh, in a recent posting on his website, implying Madigan's ongoing involvement.

At this time there are two additional speakers who have not confirmed their attendance.

Chicago GOP Chairman Steve Boulton, an attorney and longtime courtroom opponent of the Chicago Machine will be present for additional commentary.

“The entire corrupt structure of the Machine must be brought down, with accountability at the ballot box for the many Democrat politicians who now attack Madigan, but have spent years supporting him in return for his money and his army of political workers,' stated Boulton, following the Commonwealth Edison charges implicating Madigan.

Included is the recent press release announcing Saturday morning's protest.
