DuPAGE Co – Carol Davis, one of the co-founders of Illinois Conservative Union, listed on her Facebook page this week some suggestions for those organizing and participating in COVID lockdown protest rallies. Davis said she's concerned that the media will focus on and use negative images to thwart Donald Trump's re-election in November.

She writes:

These are my humble suggestions to rally organizers in Illinois. Whether they take my advice is doubtful, but at least I’ve done what I can to try to save us from annihilation in November:

• Encourage “rolling rallies” where participants remain in their vehicles and follow the President’s Task Force guidelines. After all, we support the President – what does it say to the public when we don’t respect his guidance?

• Encourage signs: “Stay safe, stay well!” and “Follow the President's guidelines”

• Make the rally tightly focused and targeted at the specific official (Governor Pritzker) that shut businesses down in an arbitrary fashion.

• Don’t bring President Trump into it at all — the Left will use this against him! Don’t force him to have to answer for you & defend you to the media. He has enough to deal with right now.

• Elective surgeries have been cancelled. If you can get doctors and nurses who have been laid off (yes – that’s happening!) to join you in SCRUBS, that would be good.

• As you promote your rally, do what we did in the early days of the Tea Party rallies: Warn attendees that inappropriate signs will not be welcomed, and if they bring one, they’ll be asked to leave. Then follow through on that! (Remember when we used to bring extra signs that read, “He’s not with us >”?!)

The MSM has severely frightened the majority of the public. We must show them that we are concerned and caring about everyone. I think we need to make our plea to #ReopenAmerica personal and strategic. Some of the hashtags I’m encouraging people to start using: #ImYourCustomer, #HoldOnWereComing, #ReopenIllinois, #ReopenAmerica.

For example, make it personal with a link to a business' website:
#IMiss… having Nancy S. at Great Clips Bloomingdale cut my hair! (INSERT BUSINESS WEBSITE OR FB PAGE) #ImYourCustomer, #HoldOnWereComing, #JBPritzker #ReopenIllinois, #ReopenAmerica

Regarding bad optics — try to avoid anything like these two recent examples:

• The AP photo accompanying this post appeared in newspapers all over the county. This was taken during the Ohio protest. It looks like something out of “The Walking Dead”! It does not do our cause nor the President any favors 😞

• There is a Tweet I shared earlier with a video of two (supposed, one never knows for sure) medical personnel standing against the protesters in Colorado. I am not going to link it here because I do not want it to be shared anymore than it already is. Sadly, it invokes Tiananmen Square — “our side” ends up looking like the Communists driving the tanks 😞

We desperately need President Trump re-elected in November. If you think China owns too much of the U.S. now, just wait to see how bad it will be if Joe and Hunter Biden get in there! Trump will lift our entire down-ballot if we don’t enable the Left to sabotage him now.

UPDATE: Wow, what a novel idea! Why don’t we use the Constitution to save our constitutional rights?! I’m so thankful we have AG Barr. https://www.forbes.com/…/ag-barr-threatens-doj-could-take…/…
