Every year the American Conservative Union puts on CPAC in Washington DC. The Conservative Political Action Conference is an annual political conference attended by conservative activists and elected officials from across the United States. I’ll be attending this week for my second year in a row.

CPAC runs from February 21-24, 2018 under the direction of its chairman Matt Schlapp. This year President Donald Trump will be speaking at the event on Friday at 10:00am. The conference is held just outside of Washington DC at the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center in National Harbor, MD.

Other speakers include Mike Pence, Betsy DeVoss, Pete Ricketts, Ryan Zinke, Sean Hannity, Ted Cruz,  Dana Loesch, Wayne DePierre, Nigel Firage, Michelle Malkin, Mark Levin, Sebastian Gorka, and Charlie Kirk. There are multiple other speakers and surprise guests.

Full list and agenda here: http://cpac.conservative.org/

I am especially looking forward to seeing Ben Shapiro. Ben was banned from speaking at an event I attended at DePaul in 2016.  I stood nearby when he was threatened with arrest if he step foot on campus. Shapiro ended up speaking off campus a block away. Just this week, conservative speaker Steven Crowder was also banned from speaking at DePaul. He too is scheduled to be at CPAC this week.

Image7On Saturday, a historic first as the Stephanie Trussell Show will be broadcast live from CPAC at the Washington DC Cumulus Radio affiliate. The show can be heard here live in Chicago on Saturday 1-3pm CST on the 50,000 watt WLS 890-AM. I’ll be joining Stephanie in the studio with some special guests.  You can also listen on the WLS radio app.
