DC – US Senator Dick Durbin was elected first elected by the people of Illinois in 1996 to represent them to the US Senate. He was re-elected in 2002, 2008 and 2014.  He won't be on the ballot again until 2020.

Senator Durbin's now in the US Senate Democrat leadership as the Minority Whip. He was a major spokesperson in the Resistance's all-out attack during Justice Kavanaugh's confirmation process. Both he and Illinois Democrat Tammy Duckworth voted No Saturday.

Does Senator Durbin represent you with this Tweet? What's your response?

State Rep. David McSweeney (R-South Barrington) didn't hesitate to respond to comments Senator Duckworth made against the Kavanaugh confirmation Saturday.
