DC – US Senator Dick Durbin was elected first elected by the people of Illinois in 1996 to represent them to the US Senate. He was re-elected in 2002, 2008 and 2014.  He won't be on the ballot again until 2020.

Senator Durbin's now in the US Senate Democrat leadership as the Minority Whip. He was a major spokesperson in the Resistance's all-out attack during Justice Kavanaugh's confirmation process. Both he and Illinois Democrat Tammy Duckworth voted No Saturday.
