By Mark Weyermuller -

The Conservative Political Action Conference is in full swing today. It’s commonly called CPAC 2020. Thousands of conservatives are meeting  to hear from movement leaders and network with fellow travelers.

Yesterday, speakers included US Representatives Louis Gohmert, Steve Scalise, & Matt Gaetz, Kay James from the Heritage Foundation, RNC Chairwoman Rona McDaniels, Tom Fitton from Judicial Watch,  US Senator Ted Cruz, and Vice President Mike Pence.

Political commentators Diamond and Silk also made an appearance.

The program in the main hall of full with speakers for the three days. There is a large expo center downstairs with exhibits and vendors. Outside of the main hall is Radio Row, where hundreds of journalists are broadcasting and interviewing people. I’m spending much of my time meeting and interacting with everybody, and of course taking a few selfies.

On Saturday President Donald J. Trump will conclude the event with a speech at  3:00 EST.

The annual event is run by the American Conservation Union (ACU), currently under the leadership of Matt Schlapp. Started in 1974, it is the largest gathering of conservatives in the world.
