A new poll conducted by M3 Strategies shows that an overwhelming majority of Deerfield residents oppose trans-identifying boys changing in girls’ locker rooms – weeks after Deerfield School District 109 officials forced girls to change in front of a biological male student.

According to the poll, which was commissioned by Dr. Dave Nayak, 67 percent of Deerfield residents oppose biological males changing in girls locker rooms, and 70 percent believe that boys should not be allowed to participate in girls sports.

The poll also found that 50 percent of residents believe the school district handled the situation poorly, and they should not have forced the girls to change in front of a trans-indentifying male.

64 percent of Deerfield school district residents also believe that girls’ privacy should be protected.

During a Deerfield school board meeting several weeks ago, Nicole Georgas spoke up in defense of her daughter, who felt uncomfortable changing in front of a biological male, but was openly mocked and harassed by transgender rights activists who were in attendance.

ATTACKED FOR SPEAKING UP.

The mother argued during the meeting that school officials were in violation of President Donald Trump’s executive orders prohibiting boys from playing in girls sports and changing in the same changing rooms, and that it was the official policy of the United States that there are only two genders: male and female.

Q: How will the Trump DOJ deal with violations of President Trump's order protecting women and girls?

But school officials, under the supervision of legal counsel, said that students could use whatever bathroom or locker room that aligned with their “chosen” gender.

Last week, the U.S. Department of Education’s Office for Civil Rights officially launched an investigation into the Illinois Department of Education, Chicago Public School District 299, and Deerfield Public Schools District 109, for Title IX violations.

“The architects of Title IX understood that males and females, especially minors, have a right to be free from compelled exposure of their bodies or from engaging in intimate activities – like changing their clothes in a locker room – in front of the opposite sex,” said Acting Assistant Secretary for Civil Rights Craig Trainor.

“This preserves the privacy and safety of all involved, especially young girls. The Department is deeply troubled by these allegations and will investigate this matter fully.”

Robert Eitel, President and Co-Founder of the Defense of Freedom Institute also weighed in.

“It is shocking that school administrators would allegedly harass and bully a student for objecting to sharing intimate facilities with members of the opposite sex.”

Eitel continued,

“We applaud the Department for launching an investigation and urge the agency to take action to terminate federal funding until the bad actors comply with Title IX.”
