The American Conservative Union founded and hosts the annual Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC), the birthplace of modern conservatism. CPAC combines ideas with action to leverage the strength of thousands of grassroots activists to break through the resistance of Washington’s powerful elites. It was held the last week of February at Gaylord Resorts in National Harbor, Maryland just outside of Washington D.C.

The four-day conference begins with Activism Boot Camp, an unparalleled initiative that brings together the finest conservative organizations involved in activism training and campaign management. The remaining three days of the conference unite the political leaders of the conservative movement with the people who make up the movement. It was attended by 10,000 people, the largest CPAC to date according to Matt Schlapp, ACU Chairman.

President Donald J. Trump spoke, along with Vice President Mike Pence. Hundreds of other speakers appeared on the main stage, panels, radio row, exhibit hall, and breakout rooms.

I took about 500 photos with only a small portion being selfies. It was a great opportunity to meet and interact with leaders, activists, and just regular patriots from across the country. Below is a handful of people I saw that you might know.

The CPAC 2019 general theme all week was “What Makes America Great” with conservatives promoting freedom, liberty, and opportunity.  I encourage anyone interested in politics and public policy to attend CPAC 2020 on February 26-March 1, 2020.

Save the date and I’ll see you there. 2020 being an election year, my guess is President Donald J. Trump will be attending.
