WASHINGTON DC – As reported by Lynn Sweet, Illinois Congressman Dan Lipinski, a “super delegate” to the Democratic National Convention, said if there is a contested convention, he will be for Bernie Sanders because he won his congressional district in the Illinois primary.
“When the votes were counted, Sen. Bernie Sanders received 54% and Sec. Hillary Clinton received 45% in my district. Therefore, if there is a contested vote at the Democratic National Convention in July, I will vote for Sen. Sanders.”
Every Illinois House member is a “super delegate,” a nickname given to the Democratic party honchos who automatically are delegates to the convention, which will take place in Philadelphia July 25th-28th.
He’s going to need one of these: http://libertymaniacs.com/products/bernie-sanders-is-my-comrade-tees?variant=8135002753
The word as handed down by the symbol of Illinois nepotism.
If he endorses Sen. Sanders, that will hurt his campaign, but no Republican is running against him. I hope a Republican will be nominated, for that race, this week.
Good that will be a vote for Cruz then. ????????????. Socialists are not welcome in this state
What ?!?!?!
Socialists RULE this state – which rock did you just crawl out from under ?
