The NYC Pride says it is a non-profit organization whose entire mission is to empower, enlighten, engage and help to commemorate how far the LGBT community has come. The non-profit that runs/owns NYC Pride is Heritage of Pride. Both might have to lose their non-for-profit status as they have gone on a benighted political attack on Republicans, marching with a street wide banner reading “Republican Hate Kills!"

Ironic enough, on their website, it says Heritage of Pride "works toward a future without discrimination where all people have equal rights under the law. We do this by producing LGBT Pride events that inspire, educate, commemorate and celebrate our diverse community.”

Well, equal rights under the law would mean that you cannot make political statements as you did and be a non-profit as you are.

Celebrating diversity?! Well that's another story to itself:

My old adage of “Show me a liberal and I will show you a hypocrite,” seems to pop its head up all the time now. Will the government take the proper steps to strip them of their non-profit status as they would a rule-violating church or other non-profit organization? Or is it liberal hypocrisy and "tax exempt for me, but not for thee?"

Heritage of Pride's mission statement even says they are "non-partisan," but clearly they are partisan with their highly-publicized attack last Sunday. They should have their funding pulled for lying on their mission statement.

One can make the case that not only should the group lose their non-profit status, they should lose their funding. But any organization donating or working with them are at peril of losing theirs, as well.

Should we hold our breaths until the IRS opens an investigation on this organization like Lois Lerner did on conservatives?
