LAKE BLUFF – Dean Argiris, a Democrat and Village President of Wheeling, is endorsing Illinois’ 10th District Congressman Bob Dold for re-election in 2016 due to Dold’s dedicated service and leadership on economic growth in the Wheeling community.

The Dold – Schneider race is expected to be one of the country's most hard-fought and expensive House races in 2016.

“While I’m a proud Democrat, I’m behind the people who go above and beyond for the residents of my community of Wheeling, which is why I’m putting all of my support behind Bob Dold.  Bob is a strong leader that spends copious amounts of time in our community helping constituents and has done everything from organizing and hosting job fairs to accompanying the Village of Wheeling Team and the KCCOC on a trip to South Korea to bring more economic opportunities to our area.  He was also instrumental in recruiting Richelieu Foods manufacturing plant to Wheeling and providing 125 new jobs to our residents. I am proud to endorse Bob Dold for the 10th District Congressional race,” said Wheeling Village President, Dean Argiris.

Dold, who is one of the U.S. House's most liberal Republicans, embraced the Democrat's backing.

“Dean is a tremendous leader in the Wheeling community who works hard to create more jobs for our friends and neighbors by using all of the tools as Village President to grow the local economy,” said Dold.  “Our work together is a perfect example of what can be accomplished when politics are pushed aside so we can focus our sole attention on creating common-sense solutions for the people of our community.  I’m honored to earn his endorsement.”
