PALATINE - The Abstinence & Marriage Education Partnership will honor former Illinois State Representative and President of Life Advocacy Resource Project at the group's Annual Banquet on Thursday, October 20th at the Cotillion in Palatine, IL.

The evening's keynote speaker will be author and political commentator David Limbaugh.

A&M Partnership will present Penny Pullen with the Lifetime Achievement Award for her pro-life work over the past several decaes as well as for her longtime support for abstinence education.

Pullen served 16 years in the Illinois House, where she was chief spokesman for the right to life and other pro-family causes. Upon her retirement in 1993, she launched the Illinois Family Institute and was later appointed by Phyllis Schlafly to serve as President of Eagle Forum of Illinois, where she faithfully served Eagle Forum through this summer when she and her sister Pam Reed moved to Michigan.

She has served in three national posts, appointed by President Ronald Reagan and President George H. W. Bush. Penny most recently served as state chairwoman of the Rick Santorum for President campaign in both 2012 and 2016.

Pullen served on the board of the former Project Reality abstinence program led by Kathleen Sullivan. She is a longtime, faithful supporter of the Abstinence & Marriage Education Partnership, a leading provider of character-based abstinence and marriage education programs nationwide.

A&M Partnership Executive Director, Scott Phelps said, “It is a great honor and privilege to have the support of Penny Pullen as we seek to reach youth around the country with a clear and consistent message on the benefits of saving all sexual activity for marriage. Penny is a role model for us all, and we are delighted to be able to thank her and honor her in a very public way for her past, present, and future efforts on behalf of the preborn and all of America’s youth. Penny Pullen is truly a 'candle in the darkness' and it is our privilege to serve along side her in these efforts.”
