WHITE HOUSE - Few – okay, maybe more than a few – remember the last time the Chicago Cubs got this close to winning the National League Championship and going on to the World Series (it was 2003), but comedian Bill Murray is confident the mild weathered Los Angeles Dodgers won't be able to play in Chicago's chilly temps.
At least he tried to convince White House press he's confident about the final two league championship games scheduled for this weekend.
"And at home, our crowd, the weather. You get a little bit of autumn in Chicago. You don't get that in Los Angeles. Trees just die, you know what I'm saying. In Illinois, they flourish," he said.
Cubs currently lead 3 to 2 games in the 7 game series.
A White House official told NBC News that President Barack Obama briefly met with Murray Friday to congratulate him on receiving the 2016 Mark Twain Prize for American Humor, which he will accept Sunday at the Kennedy Center.
