CHICAGO – Although no details about when and where we included, Tammy Duckworth's campaign is offering an evening with retired late night host and comedian David Letterman. All one needs to do to enter the drawing is make a small donation before September 16th.
"I have exciting news: David Letterman is coming to Chicago to help elect Tammy Duckworth to the U.S. Senate…and you could be there, writes Duckworth campaign director Leah Israel.
"Contribute by Sunday at midnight and you’ll be automatically entered to win a trip to Chicago for you and a guest to spend the evening with Tammy and David Letterman …" the message says.
"With an election season as crazy as this one, we could all use an evening of laughs. And most importantly, every dollar of your contribution will go towards electing Tammy and taking back the Democratic Senate majority."
A recent poll by Simon Institute shows Duckworth leading incumbent U.S. Senator Mark Kirk by 14 points, 48 to 34 percent.
