CHICAGO – Among those representing the state of Illinois in D.C. is Democrat Congressman Luis Gutierrez (IL-04), who used his time on the U.S. House floor Wednesday to tell the world why he will not be attending Donald J. Trump's inauguration next week.

Gutierrez voiced his disgust with Trump, his "locker room" talk and Trump's negative comments about Latinos, Mexicans and immigrants.

"I cannot sit there as if this inauguration is okay," he said. "If the new president comes for Muslims, I will be Muslim. If he comes for Planned Parenthood, I will stand for Planned Parenthood," and continued – raising the question of what the congresswoman would have said had one of his Illinois colleagues taken a similar position in 2009 or 2013.

  1. Who gives a damn about Luis? He is the same Marxist radical who wants to obtain a presidential pardon for one of his FALN terrorist buddies. It is a disgrace that Guitierez is in Congress. He belongs in the Kremlin.

  2. @Phil Collins:
Gutierrez occupies one of the most insanely gerrymandered Congressional Districts in America. It has been challenged all the way to the US Supreme Court, but Luis survived with his serpentine district boundaries intact.
Finding a challenger is difficult because the district is so stacked for a Hispanic.
