WASHINGTON DC – It's a near given that all Illinois Democrats will vote against any Republican effort to repeal Obamacare – with the exception of Democrat Dan Lipinski, who has a mixed voting record on the topic – so everyone's interested in how the Republican members of the Illinois delegation are likely to vote Thursday.

The vote will be close, The Hill writes, and the Republicans can afford only 22 defections from their caucus when the House votes on whether or not to repeal the so-called "Affordable Care Act."

President Trump has been directly involved in the effort, saying one of his campaign promises was to repeal the effort, which, Trump says, is already imploding.

The Hill reports the views of only three Illinois Republicans that have made votes in favor of the repeal measure. Congressmen Adam Kinzinger and John Shimkus both voted to advance the measure on the House Energy and Commerce Committee, as did Peter Roskam on the House Ways and Means Committee.

However, because they voted to advance the bill in committee doesn't mean they will support the final version as it will be considered Thursday.

We've yet to hear how Illinois Republicans Rodney Davis, Mike Bost, Randy Hultgren or Darin LaHood plan to vote.
