The University of Chicago dean who shocked freshmen last year when he warned them not to expect “safe spaces” on campus has issued a similar message to the Class of 2021.
Dr. John (Jay) Ellison didn't directly mention "safe spaces" or "trigger warnings" in this year's letter, but made clear that the school will not make any effort to shield students from unwelcome ideas.
