Roskam asks Illinois manufacturer to report on how tax reform has helped his employees

WASHINGTON – Lyons' company Atlas Tool Works has booked as much work in the first quarter of 2018 as they did in the entire year of 2017, the company's chief alignment office Zach Mottl – a 4th generation owner – testified before Congressman Peter Roskam's House Committee last week. 

The rocketing business prospect is due partially to the Republicans' tax reform passed last year, he said.

That is despite no Democrat support and Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi saying the result was crumbs.

  1. This is all great, Peter, but have you ascertained that all these employers are verifying the legitimate immigration status of their workers – to work in our country – under the E-verify system?
    You – after all – have said that you support the importation of cheap immigrant labor under expansions of the H-1B and H-2B visa systems- to displace American workers and American college graduates, with cheap foreign workers.
    What credibility do you have on this issue with the American worker or the American student, or your conservative and independent voters Mr. Roskam?
